Windows Records what the PC is playing — browsers, music apps, radio, calls — with no Stereo Mix or virtual cable to set up.
macOS Records what your Mac is playing, splits long sessions at the gaps, names the songs and files the results locally. macOS asks for Screen Recording permission once, on first run.

Match the system and processor on your card above against About This Mac or Settings › System. Windows and Mac are separate builds, not one installer for both.
Open the package and follow the setup steps. Keep a connection available: activation and song recognition both need to reach a matching service.
